All patterned fabrics have a repeated pattern down their lengths. This is called the "pattern repeat" this is measured from a point in the pattern to the same point in the next pattern.
All the cut lengths have to start at the same point in the pattern so that they match when they are joined. Therefore a cut length has to be a multiple of the pattern repeats.
Where large patterns are used it is better to have a full pattern at the hemline and a part pattern in the heading where it is less noticeable.

The fabric is joined along the selvedge, when pattern matching is required greater care is taken in order to maintain a constant pattern match.

If interlining is required its placed onto of the main fabric the hems are set and hand sewn, Lining is then added and hand slip stitched along the two sides.

All the necessary measurements are carried out using two members of staff

Once the curtains have passed inspection they are they are individual packed in clear long plastic tubes remaining as flat as possible to prevent creasing.
